A resolution appointing a City Manager
WHEREAS, The City of Hood River Charter Section 10 states: Officers of the City shall be a City Judge, City Attorney and City Manager. These officers shall serve at the pleasure of the Mayor and Council. Each of these officers shall be appointed and may be removed by the Mayor, with the consent of the Council. An officer shall continue in office unless removed by the Mayor with the consent of the City Council. If a vacancy in an office occurs, the Mayor shall appoint an officer to fill the vacancy with the consent of Council within 45 days of the date the vacancy occurs.
WHEREAS, the City of Hood River advertised, accepted resumes and applications for the position of City Manager.
WHEREAS, the City Council met in executive session to interview seven (7) candidates for the position of City Manager;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor, with the consent of City Council, appoints Rachael Fuller as Hood River City Manager on August 20, 2018 and approves the employment agreement prepared by the City Attorney for her employment as Hood River City Manager.
